this series is my journey back to the heart of who i am. as a venezuelan immigrant, i carry with me the haunting ache of el Ávila, the majestic mountain that stands watch over Caracas. it’s more than just a backdrop; it’s a symbol of everything i left behind—a vibrant, chaotic, beautiful world full of contrasts. these images, born from generative ai and rooted in the concept of simulism, are my attempt to resurrect that world, to capture the essence of a place that lives in my memories and dreams.

 

my identity and work exist through repurposed software tools, simulating my own virtual reality. using artificial intelligence, i’ve ventured into a new territory, weaving together fragments of time, language, and emotion. while some see ai as a threat, i see it as an ally, a tool that allows me to dive deeper into my subconscious, to bring to life the stories that are rooted in my soul. this series is an exploration, a blend of nostalgia and innovation, where technology meets tradition, and where my past and future collide.
